On Ash Wednesday, we gather for one of the most sacred and humbling moments of the Christian year — the Imposition of Ashes.
As ashes are placed on the forehead in the sign of the cross, we hear the solemn words:
“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
This ancient act is not meant to shame us, but to awaken us. It reminds us of our need for God’s mercy and our complete dependence upon His grace. The ashes call us to repentance, reflection, and renewal as we begin the holy season of Lent.
There is something deeply moving about kneeling, receiving the cross of ashes, and stepping back into the world marked as Christ’s own.
We invite you to join us at 6:00 PM as we enter this sacred season together — in prayer, humility, and hope.
