A Message From lee

Dear Folks,
What a wonderful Easter celebration we had yesterday! My thanks to all the different ministries and people who made it all work and all who attended throughout Holy Week as well as Sunday. I believe we made a joyful noise - I certainly heard it.

We will hold our (R.) Catholic brothers and sisters in faith in our prayers as they mourn the loss of their leader and later begin to search for a new one. The ecclesial reporters seem to agree that while Pope Francis didn’t change basic doctrine, he did push for a greater emphasis on pastoral concerns and especially for the poor.

We had a lot of visitors yesterday and many of those were family of members. If you know some of those who visited and live nearby, please remember to invite them to come back. Most Sundays will not have the attendance that Easter Sunday does but every Sunday is an Easter celebration.

The old “conventional wisdom” in the Episcopal Church was that, on average, Episcopalians invited someone to church every 26 years. We can do better.
