Hancock County Food Pantry

 At a recent board meeting, they gave us some statistics for April 2024 and 2025.

The numbers served in one month jumped from 3791 in April 2024 to 4709 this year.

      While government grants to this organization are not that big a percentage of our budget, some of the (proposed) cuts will affect different parts of the supply world we depend on for donations. Also, we are facing increased demand.

       Christ Church does support this effort with volunteers, cash from individuals, and in-kind contributions. The board also discussed whether we could help with a "Backpack Buddies" type effort during the summer since the summer feeding programs have stopped.
