A Message From Lee

Dear Folks,

This hasn’t made a lot of headlines, but the Anglican/Episcopal hospital in Gaza - the last fully functioning hospital there - was hit by an Israeli airstrike on our Palm Sunday. They gave 20 minutes to evacuate everyone and there were no direct casualties although one boy being treated for an earlier head injury died in the hurried evacuation. It is a long standing tradition in the Episcopal Church to send our Good Friday offerings to the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, an operator of this hospital. Here is a link if you want to send an offering: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/good-friday-offering/

I know the weather has been great and there’s lot to do in this late Springtime Holy Week but I invite you to the services we offer leading up to our great Easter celebration. No, we don’t do days of obligation, but this week really is the center of our Church year.

The weather has also revealed some - so far - not huge problems in our AC systems. We are doing preventive maintenance this year but with the number of AC units we have, replacement costs would not be a surprise. Pleas remeber our Building and Maintenance Fund.

Come join us for our Easter celebration this Sunday, 10am! “Alleluias” will be said and sung.

Peace

Lee
